On Saturday afternoon, 4 May 2024, at approximately 1347 hours, Communications dispatched a call for a Structure Fire in the 34000 block of Central Avenue in unincorporated Frankford, De. The following volunteer fire companies responded, Millville, Bethany Beach, Roxana, Dagsboro, and Frankford. Supplementing the suppression units, Sussex County Paramedic Unit #105 not only responded, but was the first to reach the site and grant the responding units with an updated status to the call.

On Friday May 3rd, 2024 Ocean View Brewing presented the Millville Volunteer Fire Company a check in the amount of $1,460.00 which represented the proceeds from a Dine and Donate event hosted by Ocean View Brewing on April 12th, 2024.

On Friday May 3rd, 2024 at 1839 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Bethany Beach VFC on a house fire in the 500 block of Cherry Hill Court in Bethany West.

Operation GEM is a junior (cadet) firefighter program for children ages 10 to 14 developed to give young people the opportunity to gain experience about fire, rescue, and emergency medical services in a safe, educational, and fun way.

On Saturday April 27th, 2024 the Millville Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary will hold a Yard and Bake Sale from 7am-12pm at Millville Fire Station 1 located at 35554 Atlantic Avenue in Millville, Delaware.

On Saturday April 13th, 2024 from 0900-1200 hours the MVFC is hosting a class entitled "From the Jump Seat to the Front Seat" This class is part of the officer development series being presented by the MVFC.

On Saturday April 13th, 2024, as part of the MVFC Officer Development Series, Division Chief Doug Brinkley from BWI Fire Rescue Department and Chief of the Lansdowne, Maryland Fire Company presented a class entitled “From the Jump Seat to the Front Seat”.
